 The village of Horning has plenty of local shops, restaurants
and riverside pubs within walking distance of the cottage.
There is also a leisure centre nearby containing a gym for
the energetic, a launderette and beautiful indoor swimming
pools and jacuzzi which are perfect for the whole family.
 There
are several stately homes in the area to visit such as Sandringham
House, Holkham and Blickling
Hall and many National Trust properties.
The fine city of Norwich is close by with its wonderful shopping
mall under the 900 year old Castle and the beautiful Cathedral
containing many architectural features.
 Norwich,
only 13 miles away by car has quaint cobbled streets and alleyways,
museums and a busy outdoor market.
Alternatively, there is an hourly train service from Wroxham
only 3 miles from Horning, into Norwich which only takes 12
minutes. Wroxham is known as the "capital" of the
Broads.
Sandy, uncrowded beaches can be found within 6 miles of Horning
or perhaps a visit to Great Yarmouth with its exciting Pleasure
Beach offering thrills and spills and white-knuckle rides,
Sea Life Centre, live family entertainment as well as the
bustling seaside attractions you would expect to find.
 There's
plenty to do for all the family. Enjoy a river trip on the
luxury Southern Comfort Mississippi paddle boat. With excellent
commentary, fully stocked bar, freshly made tea and coffee,
the Mississippi sails day or evening.
